Pensions and Retirement
Pensions and retirement planning are crucial for long-term financial security, yet many staff are unaware of their full options. Understanding schemes, contributions, benefits, and retirement choices helps employees make informed decisions to maximise their future income. Clear, accessible information supports financial wellbeing, reduces uncertainty, and demonstrates an employer’s commitment to staff. Informed choices today can significantly improve comfort, security, and quality of life in retirement.
Below are some resources that will help you make an informed decision on your options
NHS Retirement Fellowship
Salisbury Branch, NHS Retirement Fellowship
The NHS Retirement Fellowship is a national charity with 100 branches throughout the United Kingdom. It was formed to help all semi-retired and retired staff to become acquainted to a new and different way of life and to enable old friends and work colleagues to meet and enjoy each other’s company.
The welfare and wellbeing of all retirees is of paramount importance to each and every one of us.
We meet at the Quaker Meeting House, Wilton Road, Salisbury on the last Wednesday of each month from 2-4pm and following a talk from a speaker on various interesting topics we enjoy a cup of tea and a social chat.
In August we enjoy a cream tea with a raffle and in December a Christmas meal at the White Hart Hotel. Visitors are also welcome.
Our programme of speakers for 2025 are listed on the charity’s website www.nhsrf.org.uk
Come and meet us, we have made lots of new friends and reunited with retired colleagues.
